I
recently had the great honor of meeting with the great Mr.C’mon man. He
gave me his expert opinion (uncalled for as you should have guessed by now) on
everything under the sun and beyond. He felt that I have been too serious and
my writing reflects melancholy. I tried in vain for a little while explaining
my sanity to him but he went off on rigmarole as to why he is the next
Nostradamus which I found rather amusing.
So I decided to share that interesting bit of comedy (or tragedy) with all of you! Enjoy!! A year ago, his prediction went to deaf ear, but today he has mastered the art of grabbing attention!

So, the world coming to an end extended an year more. good for us. we can live an year long..lol
ReplyDeletethe fb thing, my hubby keeps telling me, FB won't stand in the long run. I ask why, he says, because there will be other things coming by then..hahah
he he.. yeah.. we live to see another year! :P I don't know if FB will be replaced by another. But nowadays most people can't live without FB. :)
DeleteHahaha .. True .. I have seen people who can not survive w/o FB. One of my friends bought Smart Phone of around 28K to access FB when she goes out to Haridwar :P
ReplyDeleteomg.. that is indeed a very costly trip to Haridwar. ;) Yeah.. FB has become quite indispensable these days.
DeleteHaha.. hilarious!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Abhyudaya. Glad you liked it. :)
DeleteLol!! Good one Raj :)I agree with FiF...One never knew Orkut would become almost extinct the way it is today! :)
ReplyDeleteYeah.. very true Jaish. Not many people remember Orkut now. FB could go down that path who knows. :)
DeleteSo true.. Life has become so much advanced that nowadays friends have remained only in virtual world.. I don't even remember when I had last met my friends in real :)
ReplyDeleteYour cartoon is so apt for the situation. Definitely FB has become world to us and that's why nobody bothers even if the real world is gonna end in 2013.:) Good 1 Raj:)
Yeah.. friendship has turned virtual. yeah.. very well said. No one would bother if the world ends or not. If Hell and Heaven can provide FB connectivity, we will all rest in peace! :P
DeleteROFL Raj this is very very unfair how can u just neglect Mr. CMon Man ??? my due respect to him :D and many CMon Mans(Men and Women) ;) LOL around us :D I am so surprised they are so knowledgeable that u ask anything in Social studies :D by which I mean History, Economics,Geography etc etc They will have their opinion about it. So from now on just listen to them :D if they say your posts are very serious then probably you are :D just accept :D no more Ranting!!!
ReplyDeleteBut we all know you are awesome and write the best for current situation :D and we love you for your writing :D Keep doing the best ;) Loved the CMon Saga so much so that I wrote a post here :D lol
Ramya.. first of all.. thank you so much for the mind blowing comment. I must say.. it is certainly more interesting and better than the original post. :)
DeleteYup.. I accept. I am not going to argue. I will listen to you and C'mon men and women. :) Arguing is not going to help as I am outnumbered and will get kicked otherwise as you have teamed up with him. :P
Social studies.. hmm.. sounds like a subject I seem to heard about. But don't know where. :D But Mr.C'mon man sure would have done a PHD in that. ;)
Why am I not able to relate the cartoon to preceding sentences!
ReplyDeleteRetarded me :D
he he.. Mr.C'mon man is not very rational and you not able to relate everything is not very unusual. ;)
DeleteRight, we can choose to witness either tragedy or comedy in it. Seems you are reduced to our virtual existence, no wonder many can't live without it. What a tragedy!
ReplyDeleteAnd the FB user in me would ask, Is it true? The share tanked within a week of its IPO. Mark booked huge profits, so will the company will exist like its predecessor Orkut?
Quite an entertaining post!
Thank you very much Saru. :) It is indeed a tragedy that we now 100% virtual. Guess God would be considering installing FB in heaven and hell so that we have continuity in the other world. :)
Deletehmm.. yeah. I too agree with your thought. FB could go down Orkut's path. Time will tell.
Some people are going to be very pleased that facebook will live on much after the world has ended.
ReplyDeleteThat is quite an interesting observation. I didn't see it that way. I am sure lot of people would be delighted by that stat. ;)
DeleteThe bout of fainting made me giggle aloud. Maybe the Mayans were off the mark by 8 years or so! Perfect.
ReplyDeletehe he.. yeah.. I guess many people today are susceptible to fainting if they hear that FB would cease to exist. I guess their souls will not rest in peace unless God makes FB arrangements in the other world. ;)
DeleteDear Raj,
ReplyDeleteHere’s something I want to give you. After going through your posts, I have no second thoughts in conferring you with this. You deserve it.
Congrats !!!

DeleteYou know what you could do , add more character , add more color.. maybe a female instead of a male
ReplyDeleteand what else hmm thinking thinking
ok ok I better shut up before you ban me from ur blog :) unwanted advice
loved the cartoons sir, ALAS we have to wait for 2013 now hmmmm .. ok
Bikram's
Sir ji..Any advice coming from you is worth listening to. :)Will incorporate them in the next one. Mr.Cheeky Chuck would be interested for sure. :)
DeleteHaha...funny!...But very true!
ReplyDeleteI can't live without facebook!
A very warm welcome to you here Valli. Am glad you liked it. And yeah.. FB has become a necessity these days.
DeleteROFL!! Well there you have the audience's attention don't you! FB and uske deewane..
ReplyDeletePeople would choose fb , if there was a choice between fb and o2!!!!
And hey I loveddd this comic touch after the serious posts, Your blog is true variety!
Thank you so much Jenny for that lovely comment. Yeah.. FB has so many deewane these days. Dunno when FB will become a yesteryear actor! ;) Glad you liked the light post after a few heavy ones.
DeleteAh! The C'mon Man is back again. :) Yes, we are so emotionally involved in our virtual world that we almost cannot live without it. In today's time, keeping in touch means a like and a comment here and there. Its not about meeting in person or calling each other anymore. That is a real tragedy.
ReplyDeleteAnyways about Facebook shutting down by 2020, I doubt it. It would still exist but may not be an addiction as it is now to many of us. Yahoo! was the "Big" thing in 2000 but we know what Yahoo has become now, it still makes profits but its not the same anymore. I guess Facebook will suffer similar fate as Yahoo by 2020. :)
Ha ha.. thank you so much Akshay for that lovely comment. Very true. We cannot live FB these days. Sure it has made staying in touch easier but the touch is somehow lost. :) And it is a tragedy indeed as you have said.
Deleteyeah.. I dunno either. FB may live longer or may be forever who knows. Or may be it will fade away. Anyways as you have said, it will cease to be a phenomenon sometime soon. But we may get addicted to another necessary evil. ;)
Awesome! Now, I am curious to know who fainted. Was that Mark Zuckerberg....or the C''mon Man!! hehe..
ReplyDeleteI loved this...unreservedly!!:)
he he.. I guess Zuckerberg has already cashed in on the IPO. It is the shareholders who will faint soon. :P
DeleteThank you so much. Glad you liked it.
Your blog is a treat to read .Good one there :D
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely compliment Sharmila. Thank you so much. :)
DeletePriorities! LOL
ReplyDeleteIndeed! :) And they don't seem to change! :P
DeleteHahaha.l know many people who'd react like that :)
ReplyDeleteYup.. I can see that. Unfortunately I know a whole bunch too. :) FB is the happening "Necessary evil"!
DeleteSuper duper! Let more of these come out
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Swathy. :) Now I am warning you.. you have asked for it! ;) Don't blame me later! :P
DeleteYeah, well no one cares if the world ends, but Facebook going bust has people breaking into cold sweat :). Tongue-in-cheek, loved it!
ReplyDeleteI know.. totally. :) An impending FB doom would give a lot of people sleepless nights. ;) The never ending urge to live virtually! :P
DeleteThe deaf year to the world coming to end and all the fuss about the FB going bankrupt is apt for todays virtual meeting, conferences as well as get-togethers .FB can only come to an end when people start doing more things virtually other than just typing ;)
ReplyDeleteA very warm welcome to you Uma. Thank you so much for the lovely comment. :) If FB goes bankrupt, there will be a lot of broken hearts. Someone needs to come up with something more virtual to soothe them! ;)
Deletehahaha, brilliant! i am sure, people are more worried about facebook than this world :D
ReplyDeletehahaha..nice work!
ReplyDeleteLolz:):D ..anything can happen anytime! whatever happened to Orkut?
ReplyDeleteBrilliant work Raj:)
Nice one, Raj. Orkut is a classic example of how dinosaurs went extinct. Facebook has momentum in terms of userbase that will be difficult to disturb, but it is really difficult to predict what the next big direction in social media will be. I loved the irony in your cartoon.
ReplyDeletePeople are so fond of FB that it would really be a tragedy for them but as your cartoons picture it it might be a no reason to worry as they would be no more to weigh the tragedy ;)
ReplyDeleteNice post!
ROFL..I know many who are really going to react in the same way hearing the FB tragedy..excellent one!!
ReplyDeleteHilarious....!!
